Kybella®

Kybella is an FDA-approved deoxycholic acid injection that eliminates small pockets of localized fat under the chin and on areas of the body.

Deoxycholic acid (Kybella®) is injected into the subcutaneous fat layer to disband and dissolve fat cell membranes. The body eliminates the damaged fat cells through the lymphatic system. Over the next few months after injection, you will see a significant difference in the treatment area. Results are permanent.

Results will slowly be revealed three to six months after treatment. Though results appear gradually, you will notice a significant difference!

Injection numbers vary depending on the amount of fat being dissolved and the area of the body being treated. Your SKYNN MD provider will recommend a course of treatment during your consultation. Some patients are happy after one Kybella treatment, while others may need more to achieve their desired results.

Kybella is a non-invasive treatment; however, the injection area will swell significantly. Pain can effectively be managed with ice and OTC pain relievers. To reduce swelling, prepare to rest for the first 24 hours after treatment. We recommend scheduling your Kybella treatment at least six weeks before any significant event and more if you wish to show off your chiseled jawline!
